Revolution for Christ

Christmas time is here. The bells are ringing, the holly is hung. Lord knows me and my mother and I have gotten down our hundreds of boxes; and decked each surface of our house with garland, ornaments and whatever else we have. But I must pause from this sensational season and deviate slightly into its real meaning. Many have signs, bumper stickers and proclamation that “Jesus is the reason for the season.” This is, of course, true. However, I do take issue with many of these signs. I am not attacking those who fly the “Jesus is the reason,” signs. More, I am afraid this banner has been tarnished. Why do we need a season to focus on Jesus? Jesus is omnipresent, all knowing and influential. There is an epic battle between good and evil on this earth. America is rapidly splitting in two; with Christians and other God faring people on one side, and everyone else on the other.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a revolution is coming. The world goes through phases. Today, we are in need of a charismatic Christian leader to put a new face on Christianity itself. The days of the Vatican are dead. The days of the church are dead. The days of the Evangelicals are dead. It is necessary to forge a new spire of Christianity, one which is free of the stigma of child abusing priests, one what is free of corrupt churches stealing money from their congregation, one free of the hate associated with the Christen church. Tough times are ahead, who will you follow? We have reached a day where we can no longer count on our leaders for strength and protection. We need to count on ourselves. Strong leaders are only as strong as their supporters. Stand up and untie, bind together, share your beliefs, share morality to a new generation of people who are compassionate about everyone, rich, poor, black, white. Today is a day to reckoning, a day when you can either fade into the boundless chasm of indecision or stand up and let your voice be heard. Jesus is the reason, not just for the season, but the reason for life. I ask everyone now; live your life for the positive elements of Christianity. Live for the good and the honest, the moral and the caring, the true and the powerless. It is time to choose, time to stand, time to break free of stigma and evil, break free of lies and misinformation. Rise above leaders; we are only strong when we are together. Unite. We are the United States of America. Unite. Lead by example in your own life; people will follow. Be silent leaders, join the revolution. Silence for Christ. Words will be forgotten, speech shall be silenced, and voices will be quashed. ACTIONS never die. What you DO matters. DO good, and DO it for Christ. People will follow. Join the revolution; the revolution for Christ.

A-twitter About Twilight!

I don't know if it was the hundreds of girls screaming every time Edward, (The Lead Vampire Guy) came onto the screen; or perhaps it was the fact that I was so ready for a new and exciting movie; either way, Twilight Delivered. The lamps dimmed and the stage was set. First, we were greeted with the new trailer for J.J. Abrams Star Trek. This of course was incredible. After a few flashing trailers, the lights went out completely and the tumult of females screaming filled the cramped and crowded theater. It was like Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings but hundred times more energetic.

At first, I didn't understand the infatuation. I didn't understand why this story was so compelling. I still don't but apparently, Edward is such a seductive character he somehow leapt off the page and had come to rest in the heart of every bubbling little girl. In short, it was an experience. I know this is a little late as the movie has been out for a while, but I am entering finals and haven't had time.

Destination: Depression

We as a nation are undergoing a transformation. It’s difficult; it’s devastating. But it also may be a necessary transformation that our country desperately needs. Today, we stand on the brink of the greatest depression since the Great Depression. Many are faced with a difficult choice. Do we continue to live beyond our means, or do we start appreciating what our means can get us? It is a fact that we, for the most part, have chosen our fate. In the end, it’s not the banks, or the economy that have failed; it’s not a poor president, it’s not a war, it’s not even an election. We have failed each other. We have lost something over the years. Perhaps it’s the American spirit. The statue of liberty reads, “"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..." Where is that yearning? Where is that desire; that will to have complete freedom and opportunity? We have become comfortable and most of all, we have lost sight of what is important.
Recently, I have been watching movies that center around the Great Depression. Films like “Cinderella Man” and “Seabiscuit.” There’s something in those movies. There’s something in those people, that generation. That is the something we have lost. I, more than most, am guilty of that loss. How many times have I sat back and wanted; instead of looking around at what I have? But it’s more than an outlook, it’s a revolution. It comes down to one word: Sacrifice. Has this generation, me included, ever sacrificed? I would take a stab, and probably would hit flesh to say that most who attend my school, have not sacrificed. Fathers used to go without food so their children wouldn’t stave. Now, we feel like if we go without our Starbucks, we cannot make it through the day.
The Lord’s Prayer, “Give us (God) this day our daily bread,” our daily bread. What does that mean? Simply, we are asking God to give us enough, sustain us, so that his glory can shine out through us. Looking around, I see that God has supplied me with more than my daily bread. In fact, my bread could feed a family of four. My father owns a small business. He has worked since the age of 16 and has never stopped providing my family and me an opportunity to succeed. Indeed, he has given me a chance, an opportunity to be better than he ever was. He has sacrificed; yet I have not. Instead, I have asked for more, and have expected more. I have asked and asked and asked. I am a product of this generation; selfish, comfortable.
I can’t help but think we deserve this. We deserve this depression we are so recklessly hurdling toward. We deserve the mess that will undoubtedly come over the next four years; we deserve the mess of the last eight. We deserve to be brought to our knees. We deserve to have everything stripped, everything stolen away. Our freedom, our money, our lives. Perhaps this new frontier, this new depression is necessary. What will it take to wake us up? The answer cannot come from policy, or a leader, it must come from within. Only within can we change. Maybe this country is doomed to fail. They say Democracy only lasts a hundred years, and we are living on borrowed time. But I don’t think so. I think we can endure. I think we are stronger than all who came before us.
One day, America will not be known as the land of opportunity, but it is not this day. Today, we are still the land of the somewhat free, the land of honor, and the land of promise. There will come a day when lady liberty does not welcome the poor, the wretched, and the meek; there will come a day when American values dissolve completely. There will come a day when democracy fails. The day may be close, but it is not this day. Some say the sun has set on this grand nation. Some say we cannot regain the respect of other nations. Some say we are lost. But it is not this day. Today, we are still strong. WE have strength to overcome this.
After 9/11 this country bound together. Americans can no longer live in a great society without sacrificing something for it. Our fathers sacrificed, my father sacrificed, is still sacrificing; his father… and his father. Today, it is our turn. We must take up the torch and carry on. Men have fallen, men have bled, and men have died. There is no one left to help us, no one left to take up the call but us. I feel it necessary to bind together once more, to stand up once more. Dedication: the giving up wholly or earnestly to some thing or purpose. I am dedicated to this country. I am dedicated to cleaning up the mess’s that have come and that will come. I am dedicated to this country. The question you must ask yourself is, are you?

A Glimpse

They came for the Communists, and I

didn't object - For I wasn't

a Communist;

They came for the Socialists, and I

didn't object - For I wasn't a Socialist;

They came for the labor leaders, and I

didn't object - For I wasn't a labor leader;

They came for the Jews, and I didn't

object - For I wasn't a Jew;

Then they came for me -

And there was no one left to object.

See, Must See

Have you seen the trailer for the new Bond movie? I doubt it will be better than the Casino Royal, but it looks amazing. Sadly, Martin Camble, who directed Casino Royal and Goldeneye, did not reprise his directorial role. But we do have Craig as Bond, Dench as M, and Giancarlo Giannini as Mathis. Giancarlo was the dad in a great movie called, "A Walk in the Clouds." It will be great!

I have always been a fan of the bond films, but now, I have new reason to watch. Granted, Daniel Craig is no Sean Connery, but he's the best since. Roger Moore, not my favorite. George Lazenby, super gay. Timothy Dalton, all there is to say is, wow. And then there was Pierce Brosnan. He was also in Mama-Mia....What a voice. (clearing of the throat)

Anyways, this movie looks to be one of the best and a good solid sequel to Royal. I am looking forward to November 14, one of the good days in an upcoming four bad years.

Obama Victory, American loss

I lost my country today. I lost my freedom today. I lost my opportunity today. I lost everything I hold dear as an American today. Today, for the first time in my life, I doubt humanity. Humanity has fallen and will never rise again. What they say is right, we witnessed history. We saw the fall of democracy, we saw the rise of evil, we saw the day that socialism stole our country. Hitler made history, Stalin made history, Castro made history, and Osama and Saddam made history. Today, I am sad to add the new leaf in the book of history, sadly the leaf will not be the history of hope, but of destruction. Goodbye America, goodbye freedom, I wish you well. The new chapter in America has come, and with the destruction of all.

Fight of our Lives

"In less than 12 hours, people like you will join others from around the country in the biggest election in the history of mankind...mankind that word should have new meaning for all of us tonight. We cannot be torn apart by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interest. Perhaps it is fate that tomorrow is Election Day. And we will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from Tierney, oppression or persecution, but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, this Election will no longer be known by race, or religion or change, but as a day when the world declared in one voice, “WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT, WE WILL NOT VANISH WITHOUT A FIGHT, WE’RE GOING TO LIVE ON, WE’RE GOING TO SURVIVE, TODAY WE CELEBRATE THIS ELECTION DAY.”
From Independence Day”

Tomorrow when you cast your ballots, think of the stakes. Will you stand and fight for the good in America, or will you be crushed under the Socialism, Redistribution of wealth, and overall selfishness of society. John McCain is not perfect. But he is strong, and will bare the weight of this nation on his crippled shoulders. Do we want to leave our lives in the hands of a man who is untested, unqualified and un-American…I think not. Tomorrow, stand with America, stand with Democracy, stand with a patriot, a soldier, a man we can trust. Tomorrow, stand with John McCain. Help us all...Black, White, Orange, any color in between. Help us protect our money, our future, or freedom. I call on all Americans, you are our only hope.

I leave you with this, “I have seen, in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me. I see a day were the strength of men fails. Shields shall be shattered, spears shall be splintered, souls shall be shaken, but it is not this day. Today the sun rises in the west, and with it’s light shall come a goodness and a strength so swift that all in it’s path will be subdued." Stand with America and protect her from evil, from greed, from Osama, I mean Obama. "This day we stand, this day we fight, men of the west.”
From Lord of the Rings, Return of the King.

And remember, tomorrows headline could read, "And this is how democracy dies, With thundering applause..."

Why, Oh Why, Why-oming?

Summer in Wyoming. It was big, it was open, there was not much to do. But despite the facts, I had a great time. In truth, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Granted, I'm 22, but still...it was amazing.

These guys are the two best friends from Wyoming. On the right is Mike Fields, a published author, a soon to be lawyer and a future senator from Wyoming. Chris Carles is a great guy and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is a great pitcher, a great Christian, and a great man.

Big Ass Faces

This summer I was very excited to see Mt. Rushmore. It is a national monument and is definitely one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. Also, in the gift shop, we were able to talk to the last member of the crew that built it. He couldn't walk, barely see, lets just say, old. But his story was fascinating.

We also visited a place called Devils Tower. Apparently it is the highest natural rock formation in the US. It was freaking huge.

Osama Nation

After the dust has settled, after the light has been blown out. When Barrack Obama has won. And the years of depression and pain have followed, A Governor from California will stand and deliver...

"I know that many of you out there are tired. Tired, broken, and hopeless. Long has it been since the flame of hope burgeoned within the heart of every American. Every step, every effort has sunk us into a deeper and darker hole. Now, many of us are in the darkest and most terrifying hole of all. Many have lost, many are losing, and all are suffering. We have lost our way. Like a child alone and afraid. This darkness, so close at hand, is threatening to take over, to take control of this nation that so many have fought and died for. War’s, depressions, pain—we have felt them all. Yet we have endured. This country has stood at the brink of progress, and has fallen into the waist-lands of decay. For so long we stood, as Ronald Reagen said, “Like a shining city on a hill.” That hill has been overcome with evil.
Now, it seems there is little we can do to stop the flood form breaking over us, drowning our every dream. We have watched as our leaders have stripped away everything it means to be an American. Every freedom, every right which has been willingly handed over, and now we are left with our own devices. Sadly, those devices are wicked, devastating. As we purged this nation of God almighty, he was replaced with sinister plans and vindictive deeds. In this—our hour of need, the darkness is won. It is ascending the steps to the plinth of supreme domination. What has become of our freedom? Our Liberty? Our Rights? Our Country? Where is our Justice? Our Honor? Our Compassion? Our Hope? For many, those virtues have long since been replaced with control. Control by the government. Control of our money, control of our standing, control of your lives-- Even as we stand here in the ruins of the White House, I see what we have created.
However, I see something else as well…Here we stand divided, leaderless, hopeless. I ask you now--one last time—with one last breath—with one last once of strength-- Lift your weary heads. I know that you are tired. I know that you are hungry—I know that it will be the hardest thing you have ever done. I know that you have tasted the bottom. I know that you have seen devastation. I know that you have lived through pain and persecution and been stripped of everything held dear. But stand up. Lift your head and see the dawn. For it is more beautiful and more precious than anything before. And as the light travels across this great land—north---south—east—west— Stand. Stand. Stand. Stand. That light will wash away the evil, the evil of control—the evil of men who seek it—the evil of those who supported it—the evil of those who watched democracy die with a swift spoken sorcerer to thunderous applause. Stand and untie, stand and defy, stand and bring back the values and passion into this country. We have been divided too long. Stand. Lift your head. Nothing is as promising as this country, as this nation I love so much. It is the land of opportunity. Stand and throw out those who seek to socialize, throw out those who seek to control. Freedom is our distinction. Freedom is our livelihood. Freedom is our last hope.
Hope, hope for the future, hope for our children. Stand today and tell the world we have hope. Tell them that we will realize our hope by overcoming obstruction, by overcoming adversity. Why, you ask will we prevail? The answer is simple, we are America. We are the land of honesty, the land of hope, the land of prosperity. We will leave our new prosperity to the future generations by standing on the shoulders of those past. Lessons learned will not be repeated. We will prevail. So I ask you now, stand with me, stand with America, stand with this country, America the bountiful, the beautiful. Lift your head one last time, push the sun into the sky with all the remains of your strength to give us one last gleaming day of sunshine. Let this nation shine with the light of hope forever, let this nation shine with the light of truth forever, let this nation shine. Lift your head and see the sunrise, for the darkness is passing, and the new sun is rising. Raise your head and stand with America, stand with its people, poor, rich, in-between. stand with its power, it’s honor, it’s freedom, stand with America---Stand With Me. All you need is faith, and faith will prevail, America will prevail. Prevail. Stand with America, Stand, fight, and if in that darkest hour, you stand and say, "we will not stop, we will not yield, we will not be held back..." If we do that we will WIN! "

Girls, Girls, Girls

For some reason I am blessed with nothing but nieces. Today, my third niece was born. Madison Reagen Rush came into the world at ten thirty eight on October nineteenth. She is beautiful and God willing will be the first female president in history. How could she not be, with a name like Madison, a great president, Reagen, possibly the greatest president, and Rush, well...OK... No famous Rush's. But soon, there will be...So I introduce to you, the next president of the United States of America, Madison Regan Rush...

America Tumbling Downward

It is a sad day when a candidate with no experience and possibly the worst economic plan in a hundred years is a breath away from being the President of the United States. It goes beyond politics, beyond black vs. white, beyond republican vs. democrat. The problem lies with a naive and ignorant view of the economy. The facts are simple. Raising taxes is, and has always been a dangerous proposition. Lately, democrats have been spouting about McCain’s tax plan while combating his “lower taxes,” with a “tax the rich ideology.” What Barrack Husain Obama fails to realize is that his plan of taxing the so called rich, increases the taxation of people who make over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
It is either ignorance or blatant stupidity; either way, Barrack Husain Obama is absolutely overlooking the fact that most small businesses and all of big business will suffer a tremendous tax increase. If we have a significant problem with companies moving overseas, how can we expect them to stay when they are being taxed out of business? When Barrack Husain Obama taxes business, it will have three results.
1. Larger businesses, which have the ability to move off shore, will do so. They will pack up and leave thousands of people jobless and our economy more broken than it already is.
2. The taxation of business that cannot move overseas will then dismiss thousands of employees. In order to protect profits, which by the way is what business exists despite the idea that business exists for the workers, such businesses will be forced to cut salaries and or remove employees.
3. The last would be that because taxation would be such a burden, the prices of products and services with companies within the United States would raise causing the already out of work masses to not be able to afford any goods and services.
